Ok being tempted by the fact that I can upload unlimited amount of photos, I'm gonna try out Multiply for some time. Nothing much on my rigging blog still, but I'm going to stick to blogspot for that, and will try to update it as much as I can with what I've been learning so far in my career.
Just some random shots, showing what I've been doing:
Watched Finishing The Game at National Museum, part of the Singapore Film Festival. A comedy made like a documentary, depicting how The Game was finished after Bruce Lee died halfway through filming the movie. Not bad, just did not turn out to be as funny as I thought it would be. Before the show, this exhibit happened to be at the National Museum during this period:
Did not know Jurong East Interchange had this row of shops now until today (Been taking MRT from Chinese Garden all this while):
KTV from 11am to 6pm at Top One KTV opposite Bugis Junction. Really worth it. 7 hours of singing, $20 each person. Unlimited 6 kinds of soft drinks. See Eddy's expression after a tough song:
Eddy at the machine to 点歌, together with the lychee drink I ordered:
After dinner, met Irene with Eddy (My regular weekend mates) for dinner, then proceeded to One Fullerton side to hang out. Attempted to take some nice night shots without a tripod:
Then went over to Starbucks at One Fullerton to have some coffee before going home:
Today happen to be one of those days when I take the MRT together with my Ah Bu in the morning. Usually, my dad will long bang us to Paya Lebar MRT, where I will continue on the MRT to Expo where I work. And my mum will walk a short distance to the Haig Road hawker centre, where she goes everyday to help my aunt at her noodles stall.
We left house kinda late today, so by the time we got to Chinese Garden MRT, there is already quite a crowd at the station. When the train came, there is absolutely no empty seats already, so we had to stand in the train. Being really crowded, I kinda have to stand a distance away from my Ah Bu. So that continued for quite some distance.
Being the usual anti-social me, I took out my earphones, plugged them into my handphone, and started listening to music. With nothing on hand, I basically looked around, but my eyes stopped when I saw my Ah Bu right in front of me.
I can't really remember when was the last time I really looked at her like what I was doing this morning. Everyday's the same for me: work, go home, bathe, eat, sit in front of my comp, sleep. And the sight in front of me was shocking. The wrinkles, the signs of old age on her face, her many strands of white hair. My Ah Bu 真的老了.
To think the day they came back from China, Ah Bu is still running around the whole house, washing the clothes, cooking meals for us, etc, etc. All without even resting much after her trip. To think how much time have I wasted not spending time with her, just immersing myself into my comp everyday when I come back from work. Seeing HM's post made me even more guilty, being here beside my Ah Bu but yet I don't spend quality time with her. Wa lau...
So... 谢谢你Ah Bu. For all the care you have given me all these years. From now on, I will definitely spend more time with you, talk to you whenever you come into my room and sit beside me, hearing all your complaints patiently, and withstand all your nagging. Haha.
Pardon me for the unstructured writing. Just writing down whatever comes to my mind.
Another good ramen place to try is Ramen Santouka. And it's at Central too! According to my colleague who has a Japanese wife, Satouka is pretty famous in Japan, and this is the only outlet here in Singapore. The chashu is much more chewy, and the soup base is a little saltier than Marutama's. Try it to know it yourself! http://www.hungrygowhere.com/singapore/ramen_santouka/
Recently signed up with Starhub Digital Cable TV and got this with the 2 years contract:
A Sony DAV-DZ150K Home Theatre System. Well not the really power one, but good enough for me.
And rewatched my Jacky 2003 Music Odyssey Grand Finale DVD with DTS. (Yes again haha) Really enjoyed it. Not only the sound system, but his plain awesome performance for that concert. 永远学友 man... Wonder when will he ever sing on stage again in Singapore.
